NDIS provider Sydney

What is NDIS?

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and improved quality of life. The NDIS also connects anyone with a disability to services in their community. NDIS is a government-run scheme that helps people with disabilities access a range of services, including disability support payments (DSPs), accommodation, transport, and communication. It also provides support with employment and training.

The NDIS Eligibility and Registration

If you or someone you know is considering applying for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) then fear not – we’ve got your back.

The NDIS is a scheme that provides support for people with a disability and long-term health conditions who have been assessed as needing support.

There are many stages of the NDIS, but the first step is to apply for it. To make things easier, we’ve created an Access Request Form (ARF) and a Supporting Evidence Form (SEF) that you can use to apply for your NDIS.

The NDIS myplace portal is the official website of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and is where people are able to register for the NDIS. To access the myplace portal, you will need a PRODA (Provider Digital Access) account. The myplace provider portal and resources page has a step-by-step guide to help you sign up for a PRODA account.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a landmark reform of Australia’s social security system and it is set to change the way Australians access support.

To be eligible for the NDIS, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and you must be registered with the NDIS Scheme. Once you are registered, you will be notified about your package and you can start to make changes to your preferences.

If you are aged between 7 and 65, a local area coordinator can help you to understand the NDIS, apply and connect with other government and community supports.

If you have a child aged under 7, an early childhood partner can provide supports to children before they apply, and let families know if the NDIS is right for their child.

The NDIS covers all kinds of support, including:

The kinds of support NOT covered by the NDIS include things that are covered by another support or health program or are not related to your disability or support needs.

NDIS Registered provider Sydney

It is important to note that NDIS-registered providers are regulated by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

As a consumer, it’s really important to understand the difference between registered and unregistered providers.

Under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, registered providers must meet the NDIS Practice Standards. They have to have a proper license and be registered with the Commission in order to offer services.

Unregistered providers who provide NDIS products or services without a valid license are in breach of the Act. These providers are not allowed to access, provide, or direct clients to use the NDIS.
